Also known as the ‘Yellow Egg’, Plum ‘Yellow Pershore’ is an outstanding variety for preserves and desserts. Discovered in the early 19th century, this heritage plum produces heavy crops of large yellow fruits with juicy yellow flesh which has an excellent balance of sweet and sharp. For culinary use, the fruits should be picked before they are fully yellow, but they can also be left to ripen fully and eaten fresh. Good resistance to silverleaf and canker.
