A popular filbert variety dating from around 1816, ‘Cosford’ produces good yields of large nuts as well as being an excellent pollinator for other trees. Like other filbert varieties, itβs slightly larger and more elongated than cobnuts, with a long husk or beard. The nuts are well-flavoured, easy to crack and can be eaten green in September or stored for winter use.
Maximum height & spread: 400cm (157″).
