Gage ‘Dennistons Superb’

This RHS award winner is the most reliable cropping gage – so reliable that it’s often referred to as a plum. ‘Dennistons Superb’ is also the gage most suited to more northerly gardens. From the middle of August it produces large, juicy, sweet fruit with transparent flesh and a typically fragrant gage flavour.

• Pollination Group: 2 – Partly self-fertile but fruits better with a pollination partner
• Rootstock: St Julien A (semi vigorous) reaching an ultimate height of 4-5m
• Use: Dessert or culinary
• Cropping period: Mid season (late August)
• Flowering period: May
