Begonia metallica is an easy-to-grow species begonia clothed in shiny, wrinkled green leaves with the veins picked out in darker green on the upper surface and dramatic red venation on the reverse. Large clusters of pale pink flowers are produced in summer and autumn. Height: 1m (39in). Spread: 50cm (20in).
Begonias make great shade-tolerant houseplants, offering unique and beautiful foliage and flowers that appear intermittently throughout the year. They can be moved outside during the summer months.
