Apple ‘Scotch Dumpling’

Exceptionally pretty, dark pink blossom makes this variety stand out in Spring. Apple ‘Scotch Dumpling’ is an early cooking apple, ripening by mid-august. The large fruits have a sharp flavour, cooking down to a frothy puree which makes fabulous apple sauce! Surplus fruits will store for a few weeks but are best used fresh from the tree.

This variety is not self-fertile. For the heaviest crops it is best grown with another variety. If you only have room for one tree then make sure that a neighbour has a tree close by that can act as a suitable pollinator. Pollination Group 1 – Cooking Apple
