Everything about this tree is in miniature – except the size of the crop! Apple ‘Appeltini’ is a compact new variety reaching just 2m tall with maturity, making it perfect for a large pot on the patio! Its pretty pink blossom makes an attractive feature in spring, followed by a plentiful crop of tiny, golf-ball sized apples. The fruits have purple skins that ripen to glossy, rosy red with a lovely sweet flavour. These bite-sized fruits have plenty of appeal for kids’ lunch boxes and make excellent toffee apples too. Fruits can be harvested from August to November. Height and spread: 2m (6′).
This variety is self-fertile and does not require a pollination partner.
Estimated time to cropping once planted: 2 years.
Estimated time to best yields: 5 years.
Please note: Patio trees are derived from clonal selections for dwarfism which ensures a particularly compact growth habit.
