Witch Hazel are popularly grown for their autumn colour and frost resistant, fragrant, spider like flowers in winter. Hamamelis x intermedia ‘Bohlje’s Feuerzauber’ is a vase-shaped, slow growing shrub with ascending branches. Its broad, green leaves turn a spectacular yellow-orange in autumn before falling. In winter, the bare branches reveal immature buds which swell to red-tinged, orange flowers that light up the coldest months. This deciduous shrub is ideal for borders and the edges of woodland gardens. Height and spread: 4m (13’).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
