Cherry ‘Kordia’

A recent introduction, Cherry ‘Kordia’ is a superb eating variety that is notable for its particularly large fruits. Dark-purple cherries with a mouth-watering sweetness are produced in abundance for harvesting in early August. The fruits tend to resist splitting, even in wet summers, ensuring that you have a top quality crop.

• Cherry rootstocks:
• Gisella 5 – Semi dwarf reaching a mature height of up to 3m (10′)
• Gisella 6 – Semi vigorous reaching a mature height of up to 4m (13′)
• Colt – Semi vigorous reaching a mature height of 5m (16′)

This variety is not self-fertile. For the heaviest crops it is best grown with another variety. If you only have room for one tree then make sure that a neighbour has a tree close by that can act as a suitable pollinator. Pollination Group 4
