A traditional variety and still very widely grown. Redcurrant ‘Laxton’s Number One’ produces generous crops of top quality fruits which are borne in long strings from July. The glossy, scarlet fruits are small but flavoursome. This well respected variety flowers slightly later than many varieties, avoiding damage from late frosts. It is also renowned for its resistance to most strains of Mildew making crops more reliable. Height and spread: 120cm (47″).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
