This rugged trio of houseplants are brave enough to take on even the most neglectful of gardeners. These practically bomb-proof varieties don’t require expert growers with plenty of time on their hands and make an ideal gift for busy people who don’t have green fingers but would like some lush greenery in their home.

Almost Unkillable Houseplant Collection contains 3 x 12cm pots, one of each of the following varieties:

• Aspidistra elatior – Commonly known as the Cast Iron Plant for its resilience, even when neglected! Aspidistra elatior is a particularly elegant foliage plant with upright, glossy leaves that arch gracefully at the leaf tips. This reliable house plant was extremely popular with the Victorians not least because of its ability to withstand, drought, pollution and low light levels. An ideal focal point for a hallway table, cool conservatory or a shaded corner of your home. Height and spread: 90cm (36″).
• Dracaena fragrans ‘Tornado’ – Twisting dark green foliage with bold lime green margins make this house plant incredibly alluring! Each glossy leaf is curiously curled and twisted clockwise to create a fabulous whirlpool effect. As a young plant Dracaena fragrans ‘Tornado’ has a low rounded shape that sits nicely on a worktop or coffee table. With maturity it gradually extends upwards to form an upright central stem, making a fine floor-standing specimen. This magnificent Dragon Tree is undemanding and easy to grow, with a relatively slow growth habit. A well behaved, indoor plant for that will adapt to a wide range of conditions. Height: 120cm (48″). • Spathiphyllum ‘Torelli’ – Better known as the Peace Lily, these tender perennials are famed for their ability to remove pollutants from the air. Spathiphyllum ‘Torelli’ forms a dense clump of large, upright, glossy, evergreen leaves with gently drooping tips that make this a handsome house plant all year round. In spring and early summer, the elegant white spathes are produced, rising on slender stems above the foliage. As the spathe unfurls, it reveals a prominent creamy-white spadix that gives each bloom its distinctive appearance. Peace Lilies are easy to grow, requiring minimal maintenance. This variety is neat and compact making an excellent windowsill plant. Perfect for a bright position in filtered light. Height and spread: 60cm (24”).
